Our sensory room training service provides hands-on training on how to operate and control the sensory systems and equipment already installed within your environment. This may include training on how to operate lighting, projection systems, sound equipment, interactive controls, wall panels, switches, tablets, apps, immersive systems and specialist sensory equipment.
Rather than being tailored to individual users, this practical sensory equipment training focuses specifically on the functions, features and day-to-day operation of your installed equipment. Our aim is to help staff confidently understand how to use the system effectively to create the best possible sensory experiences, outcomes and benefits for their users.

As all of our installed sensory rooms are bespoke to each client, the training will be based upon the equipment installed within your room. Upon arranging the type of training required for your staff, one of our experienced engineers will visit your site to carry out an in-depth training session.
Depending on the equipment included within your sensory environment, training can cover:
- Daily operation and best practice guidance.
- Use of sensory lighting and projection systems.
- Use of integrated sound and audio systems.
- Understanding control panels, switches, remotes, iPads or app-based controls.
- How to change themes, settings and programmes.

How Often Do You Recommend Refresher Training?
We typically recommend booking refresher training for sensory rooms every 3–5 years to help ensure staff and supervisors remain fully up to date with the operation, controls and functions of the installed system. Refresher training can also be beneficial following staff changes, equipment updates or when introducing new immersive media and themes to your environment.
How Many People Would You Recommend Attending a Training Session?
If you have several staff members who would like to attend training, we would typically recommend smaller groups where possible. This helps ensure the highest quality of training can be delivered, while allowing enough time for demonstrations, questions and hands-on guidance throughout the session. However if you do have a larger number, please mention this upon enquiry and we can accommodate.
