The modern softplay room has a variety of different options. The once dull, padded rooms are now transformed into vibrant, interactive spaes that users will love to spend time in.
The traditional padded rooms are of course still available, and are ideal as a chill out space for users with challenging behaviours. Relaxing lighting and sound can also be incorporated into these rooms to allow for the ultimate wind down.
All of our softplay padding is manufactured to order and is available in a range of thicknesses, from 25mm to 150mm, to suit your users. The padding is produced using sturdy foam to provide a good base and allow less physically abled users to enjoy the area. It is then covered in a wipe clean vinyl, which complies with all regulations to ensure saftey for the client. Our standard padding colours can be seen in the image to the right.
At Sensory Technology Ltd, we can appreciate that both space and budget are at a premium in all establishments. We have installed softplay systems which incorporate a range of softplay products including softplay cicuits, obstacles, ball pools, rockers and building blocks. But previous softplay room installations have also included a cinema room with full AV equipment, Sensor Floor systems and plenty of storage (never underestimate how important this is). A sensory softplay system is ideal for incorporating interactive, cause and effect learning into a standard softplay environment. Switches can be incoporated into padding as well as into steps/slides to create an impact when a user reaches a certain piece of equipment.
Switches can then be used to activate lighting effects, sounds or both! The image to the left shows a switch incorporated into a wall pad, as the user goes over the waves and presses the switch, a water effect activates, along with the sound of crashing waves for a wonderful themed area within a softplay room.
