Sensory Rooms or Multi-Sensory Rooms come in many different formats. It is the general term for a relaxing or stimulating space away from every day life. An area that is fascinating to the user and a place they will look forward to using. Previous projects have included light rooms, dark rooms, softplay areas and general multi-sensory rooms. They can be designed to be passive & calming, through to complete computer controlled lighting, sound, video and aromas activated by the user.

We try to design our sensory rooms to cater for all clients. A room can be designed around specific users, or multi-purpose to allow for a range of people with different needs. It is also worth bearing in mind that it can be a large investment and that forward planning is needed to ensure that it will cater for any other users in the future of whom you may not yet be aware.

At Sensory Technology, we like to work closely with the customer to ensure that our design meets your requirements and budget, and that the equipment used is suitable for its application. We use a wide range of equipment to form our sensory room system, including many of the favourites such as bubble tubes, fibre optics, projectors and relaxing music.

We have many pieces of equipment that are only available from ourselves, including some excellent control systems that can create a fantastic interactive environment. Our control systems allow the operator/supervisor to remain in overall control whilst the user interacts with the system.
