A Sensory Venue is the term for a space which, in it's most basic form, generally includes a computer controlled environment with a projection screen or television. In it's more complex form, a Sensory Venue can take the user on a journey of discovery as the room around them changes and interacts with their movements and needs.
A Sensory Venue from Sensory Technology is ideal for curriculum or themed work, as it will incorporate a range of other effects, which can be used to create a complete atmosphere. Popular items include a range of traditional sensory room equipment, along with some additional products such as resonance seating, wind generators and aromatherapy. When all the products are used in unison, or in a specifically designed sequence, the results are magical for the user!
A Sensory Venue also generally includes our Central Control system, to allow the supervisors and clients to utilise the room without having to use the computer based software control. Once again, this can make the room much more multi-pupose and better value for money, as well as being user friendly for the operator of the system. The Sensory Venue can be used as a calming space, as an interactive environment or an interactive, theme led room.
The computer controlled side of a Sensory Venue will allow themes and timelines to be created, which when activated, will run in sequence. The screen could show a Volcano, the room lighting, bubble tubes and fibres optics could turn red, and the speakers give a rumble, which will then be felt through the resonance seating! The possibilities and effects acheived through a Sensory Venue are endless.
Sensory Venues can also be combined with other types of sensory room if you find you want the functionality, but are short of space. To discuss this, or any other ideas you may have, please contact Sensory Technology.
