In March 2008 Sensory Technology completed work on its flagship project 'The Harris Centre' at Linden Lodge School in London. The school caters for pupils with visual impairment or multi-disabled visual impairment, as well as pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. The school has an excellent reputation, with pupils attending from 28 LEAs throughout Southern England.
The sensory project in 'The Harris Centre' is undoubtedly one of the biggest sensory resources in the country, with the areas being broken down into a Sensory Theatre, a Darkroom, a Softplay Room and the Sensory Garden. We have also completed work on the hydrotherapy pool in the main school building. For details of each of the room please see the links above.
The partnership that now exists between Sensory Technology and the staff and pupils of Linden Lodge allows us to offer the children the ultimate in sensory resources.
"Sensory Technology have worked in partnership to develop a highly specialised multi-sensory building for our pupils with profound and complex needs. Considerable time has been spent designing bespoke environments, both indoor and outdoor, that are fully interactive and give access to our pupils at every level. We are indebted to Rob and his team for their attention to detail and willingness to listen to our pupils to ensure their access and stimulating activities maximise their potential. We are delighted and proud of what has been achieved in The Harris Centre."
